LLTH is definitely not a course for the weary as I found out in 2008. Toughest 50K in my opinion in the Midwest. When I tell other runners about this race, I describe it like this. "If you are looking for switchbacks, you won't find any. All hills point straight up." And that is no lie. Thanks for sharing!Craig Redfearnhttp://www.trailfixation.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3780660902133427157.post-12941460554874029302010-02-19T10:14:49.399-08:002010-02-19T10:14:49.399-08:00As the old gray horse in this race, Eric, you are ...As the old gray horse in this race, Eric, you are a classic! As a 66 yr old veteran, you still pass me on the 1st loop after I had a one hour start. I was enthusiatic about running the new course and without part of the purple heart trail. Like Keegan, I use to run hard at the beginning and then pace myself at the end to finish.Don Lindleyhttp://www.facebook.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3780660902133427157.post-72838724722266768622010-02-11T06:31:29.797-08:002010-02-11T06:31:29.797-08:00Congratulations Eric on an impressive win. I promise to not waste my youth, and use some wisdom. I still wouldn't change how I ran the race Saturday ha! Live and Learn my friend. Good luck on all your future races and hopefully we will see you around. You are a real inspiration for guys like Me, Michael, and all other trail runners that want to have fun and race well.Keegan Rathkamphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09000720516603314632noreply@blogger.com
